Whispering Hills: 100 acres of beautiful Georgia country side. Where a kid can be a kid and learn and love on horses.


Whispering Hills Inc. is hosting their Second annual Summer Horse Camp Series. Taught by Betsy Moles!  Whispering Hills is located at 521 Little Rd. Canton 30115, Off of East Cherokee Dr. Click here for directions.

Camp Dates:

Beginner/intermediate         June 7-11

Jumping                               June 14-18

Camp will run from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday with an optional camp out on Thursday Night!!!  Campers will tent camp on the property by the creek.  We will have a campfire cookout that evening and cook breakfast in the morning.

Our days consist of a two hour morning session  on horse care and groundwork games focusing on each camp theme with horses. A two hour lunch, craft, and game segment. Campers need to bring a sack lunch and drink each day. The afternoons are spent in the saddle learning riding skills geared towards the camps theme.

Each camp costs $250 for the week.

Camps are limited to six participants. So reserve your spots now.

Beginner/intermediate Horsemanship campThis camp is for both English and Western riders little or no experience is necessary.  Looking for campers between the age of 7-14, younger campers by permission only.  Kids will enjoy horsemanship ground games and horse husbandry in the morning, lunch and craft or activity midday, and riding in the afternoon. 

 

Jumping Camp:  Learn the art of jumping with a natural focus. This camp is English only and riders must have cantering experience to join.  Looking for campers of the age of 10-16. Kids will learn horsemanship ground games that will improve their horses jumping confidence, have lunch midday, then riding and jumping in the afternoon. 


Show Camp:
This camp is for both English and Western riders with any experience.  Looking for campers between the age of 7-16.   Kids will learn in hand showing exercises in the morning, lunch and craft or activity midday, and learn how to ride show patterns, jump courses, and trail courses in the afternoon.  Campers will be encouraged to join us in a schooling show on the following Saturday for a separate fee.

Trail Camp:
This camp is for both English and Western riders with any experience.  Looking for campers between the age of 7-14.   Kids will enjoy horsemanship ground games and horse husbandry in the morning, lunch and craft or activity miday, and riding in the afternoon. Kids will enjoy trail riding by the end of the week. Camp will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday though Friday.  

What you should bring:

Sunscreen

Bug Spray

Lunch with a drink (water will be available)

 Any allergy medicine

What they should wear.

Appropriate footwear (cowboy boots, or any smooth soled boot with a heel)

Helmets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Hat for sun when not riding.

Flip flops, swimsuit and towels for wading in our creek.
