Frodo Baggins
He is schooling 2ft, crosses water and is a willing Happy jumper. He moves like a mini-warmblood with his eye catching trot. Has shown successfully at tadpole level eventing. He is also a solid Parelli Level 1 horse on the ground and in the saddle and working on level two on the ground. This training was done by three level 3 students. His temperament is super. He does well with beginners and side walkers.
Frodo and Logan's big day out!!! I was so honored that Frodo was chosen to be Logan's (2 and a half years old) first pony experience!! They soon made friends over several horse treats. And Logan came up with the courage to brush Frodo.
Now that Logan was confident, it was time to put the saddle on and go for a ride! Logan decided that pony rides were so much fun that he kept on asking for more. Frodo showed Logan all around the arena where all the other kids were riding and even walked him over a cross rail!!
I love this picture. It demonstrates how tolerant Frodo is of Kids. Logan is persistently trying to get Frodo to eat the grass out of his hand instead of the grass on the ground while leaning on Frodo's head for balance!!! |
Frodo is a 5 year old Haflinger/ Hackney cross gelding. He is a dun with black points and stands 12.2H. He has been used as a team driving pony with his full sister of the same color. He now has a new career of huntseat and combined training.
His ground manners are excellent. He stands for the ferrier, ties, loads and clips. He is bomb proof, child safe and a steal at $3,500. Located in the North Atlanta, Acworth area. Contact Betsy @ (404)226-4449
Then Frodo showed Logan all of his Parelli tricks like crossing the bridge, jumping barrels, and going side ways. This helped Logan feel like playing instead of being scared.
We all had so much fun, we all worked up an appetite. It was picnic time.
