Dharma's Eikon

Pedigree Information

Dharma’s Eikon has a superb jumping pedigree on his dam’s side.  His dam, Dharma II, a registered Selle Francais Premium mare, is by the Thoroughbred stallion, Napur.   Napur was an outstanding international show jumper by Damascus who also sired such notables like Bold Ruler, Princequillo and Bull Dog. Napur won or placed in several major Grand Prix, including placing in the 1987 World Cup.  His offspring proved successful in both the jumpers and hunters.

Alme sired: Galoubet – Champion of France in 1979 and World Champion (team) at Dublin in 1982 (Galoubet sired, among others, Baloubet du Rouet – 3-time World Cup winner and individual Olympic Gold Medalist); I Love You – winner of the World Cup in 1983 (2nd in 1984) and named “Horse of the Year” in the US in 1983; Jalisco B – show jumping champion and sire of Quidam de Revel, Quito de Baussy, Olisco, etc.; Jolly Good – held indoor Puissance record; etc.  Alme also proved to be an outstanding broodmare sire – many of his daughters produced international jumpers..
Dharma's Eikon's sire Eikon is a solid performer at training level scoring consistently in the seventies. He past his floating athletic gaits on to his son!!

"Eikon" is a three year old registered half Trakehner that currently stands 15.2h and growing. Imprinted and raised naturally, Eikon is a people friendly horse that seldom spooks. Impeccably bred for jumping on his Dam's side (Selle Francais) and Dressage (Trakehner) on his Sire's side Eikon is well suited for Eventing or show jumping.

Dharma’s mother, Quaint Melody,  was a direct daughter of the legendary Alme – unquestionably one of the most significant stallions of the last 50 years.  Alme has sired numerous exceptional jumpers, and appears as grandsire or great-grandsire of many more.

Dharma's Eikon was imprinted at birth rendering a fearless youngster with excellent ground manners and a calm demeanor. He clips (no twitches or sedation), loads, stands for the farrier, lunges, backs and yields nicely. Dharmas Eikon has shown his ability to jump on two occasions. Once while he was being weaned he jumped a four foot stall door and again just recently he jumped a four and a half foot fence twice from a stand still  when chased by anther horse!! Tall fences will be a requirement of a new owner.
